A Glimpse Into His World
hey!blondie is the creative project of Los Angeles-based producer, Aaron Smith, whose path into electronic music didn’t follow the typical route. He’s a classically trained pianist who fell in love with electronic production after years of experimenting behind closed doors.
“I always wanted to make music that felt like a warm memory…something peaceful, but not passive. Something with movement and meaning.”
His sound is personal and emotionally charged, merging mellow piano, soft vocals, and hazy melodic textures. The result is a hybrid style that doesn’t quite fit into existing genres, so he gave it a name: innocent house.
What is Innocent House?
Innocent house is a subgenre of house music that prioritizes emotional resonance over club energy. It’s electronic music designed for stillness, reflection, and healing. It borrows from deep house, ambient, and indie pop, but leaves space for breath and vulnerability.
“There’s this idea that house music always has to go hard. But I wanted to make house that made people feel something — not just dance.”

The song began as a spontaneous experiment—born from a TikTok video featuring trucks honking in unison on a freeway. hey!blondie sampled the sound and layered piano over it, resulting in an ambient, nostalgic pad that shaped the emotional tone of the entire track.
“Given the nostalgic nature of the sample, the lyrics became a reflection of a simpler time with a loved one,” he shares. “The whole thing fell into place from that first moment. It just felt right.”
The emotional resonance of honest captures the spirit of innocent house—evoking deep feelings through gentle melodies and atmospheric production. It’s a perfect gateway into hey!blondie’s world for first-time listeners.
A Year of Quiet Momentum
Since signing with EAR, hey!blondie’s growth has been remarkable. His streaming numbers have surged, his visuals have matured, and his vision has never been sharper. But it’s not just about stats, it’s about building something that lasts.
“Working with EAR helped me focus,” he says. “They helped me zoom out and look at the full picture — how everything connects, from sound to story to strategy.”

Fans are beginning to notice. His video content has found traction online, and his unique sound is drawing comparisons to artists like Porter Robinson, San Holo, and demotapes — but with a voice and visual identity that’s entirely his own.
The EP: Peaceful Loop
Out February 3, Peaceful Loop is a tightly crafted EP debut that feels like an emotional exhale. It moves through themes of healing, memory, and mindfulness, as a sonic reflection of slowing down and reconnecting with self.
“Each track started as something small — a loop, a phrase — and slowly grew into something I felt proud to share,” hey!blondie says. “I called it Peaceful Loop because that’s what I wanted the listening experience to feel like. A reset.”
The project blends ambient pads with house rhythms and low-key vocals, creating a listening experience that invites repeat plays. Alongside the digital release, limited-edition CDs are available for preorder now, featuring exclusive artwork and lyric inserts.
