Next Chapter Spotlight: Diet Lemon
An artist turning sour moments into something unforgettable.
At EAR, we’re always honored to grow alongside artists who are as creatively bold as they are emotionally real—and few embody that duality like Diet Lemon.
Based in Philadelphia, Diet Lemon is an indie rock artist whose sound blends cinematic textures with confessional storytelling, balancing synths, guitars, glitchy production, and a whole lot of heart. After years of being the creative force behind the band Mega Mango, he stepped into a new era with Diet Lemon—making music that’s raw, vulnerable, and unmistakably him.
Over the past few years, we’ve had the privilege of helping Diet Lemon not only expand his sound, but also build a thriving business, Diet Lemon Productions, to bring his creative vision to life. His breakout single “melt” has now passed 4 million streams, and he's since hit editorial playlists on Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal—where Tidal even featured him on the front cover.
From local venues to his first national tour, his passionate two-person live show has connected with fans across the country. But 2025 marks a major shift: he's stepping into his biggest artistic chapter yet.
The juno EP – The Next Chapter
Out November 11
His upcoming EP, juno, explores the intersection of introspection, hope, and honest storytelling. From the shimmering synths of “soon.” to the haunting honesty of “tommy’s gun,” this record showcases a new side of Diet Lemon: more refined, more open, and more determined than ever.
“I want people to feel hopeful after hearing this record,” he says.
“It’s meant to provide faith to the introspective and lonely.”
With this project, Diet Lemon also introduces a new visual identity that reflects the maturity of the music while still being authentic Fans can already pre-save the EP on Spotify with the new countdown feature, pre-order the CD on his webstore, and even hear early previews via his exclusive Vault.
What’s Changed
Since working with EAR, Diet Lemon has evolved in more ways than one. As an artist, he’s learned to prioritize balance—between growth and rest, output and reflection. He’s elevated his sound quality without sacrificing the soul, and he’s stayed grounded through personal changes, including starting a family.
“The spirit of my music has maintained through a dramatic increase in sound quality…And pushing through that has been a massive shift.”
He’s also realized just how powerful his art can be—not only online, but in person. This year, meeting fans on tour gave him the fuel to keep going.
“It’s both a horrifyingly humbling experience, while also motivating enough to fuel me for ten more years.”
What’s Next
In the year ahead, Diet Lemon has his sights set on signing with a larger label and taking his music to a broader audience. He’s building his team, expanding his production work, and doubling down on the unique sound and message that make Diet Lemon… well, Diet Lemon.
“There are more people who need this quirky, introspective, and faithful music. My goal is to bring it to as many people as possible.”
From playing Minecraft on off-nights to crafting cathartic anthems in the studio, Diet Lemon is proof that vulnerability and vision can coexist—and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s in store.
